I am an avid traveller, and my favourite type of travel is a big adventure off the beaten path with my family. I have visited 60 countries with my kids, including Burkina Faso, Guyana, Albania and Vietnam (our fav).

We visited 30 countries during our family gap year in 2017-2018, and it sparked a desire for longer periods of travel interspersed with time at home.

Now, we are slowly driving around the world, 2-3 months at a time, in our self-converted Land Rover Defender. So far, we've driven through all 10 Canadian provinces, the US, and 9 European countries. It's currently parked in Denmark while we're at home enjoying the warm Canadian summer.

We've driven almost 33,000km in the past 14 months, so I now consider myself a road trip expert. However, there's always something new to learn!
